Papaya fans in London had a unique chance to celebrate their team at Live London, a special fan event held over two days on Trafalgar Square in the days leading up to the Silverstone event.
As well as listening to interviews with drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri and seeing McLaren cars up close, fans had a chance to play a custom-made racing game featuring vintage McLaren cars.
The racing game was a huge success, played 9 times over the two days with the maximum 30 players on each race. All fans had to do was scan a QR code on their phone, type in a screen name and then steer their car left and right from a simple interface on their screen. The game was branded to feature Allwyn, one of McLaren's partners - a uniquely powerful way for a brand to be visible and integrated in a memorable, postive way.
The excitement and sheer noise the game generated in the crowd - from racers and non-racers alike - made it almost like watching the real thing!
As well as the racing game, fans played a special McLaren quiz powered by Piing's Quiiz product - with over 1,100 players taking part.
All in all, an event to remember for Papaya fans in a Championship winning season and Piing was proud to be part of it.
